Louis Vuitton hires Johnny Coca (former Creative Director of Mulberry)

Louis Vuitton has announced the appointment of Johnny Coca as the women's fashion leather goods director. The former Creative Director of Mulberry will be working alongside Nicolas Ghesquière to revamp the house's accessories.

 Coca most recently headed the design direction at Mulberry, spending five years at the iconic brand which is famed for its handbags. Before this, Coca worked with Phoebe Philo at Céline and under Marc Jacobs when he headed up Louis Vuitton.

Spring/Summer 2020 Fashion Trends

Spring/summer 2020 fashion trends will include a bold 80's fashion silhouette which is a trend in this season's style. The seasonal trend will also include some sci-fi elements. A trend which boasts shiny surfaces and vibrant colors. Logos, metallics and statement making denim will all be key aspects in spring/summer 2020 style. A flashback to the 80's which were heavy on the denim and denim skirts. Skinny jeans will be renewed with stylish prints and and top-stitch details. Key items will be to have a classic blazer, as well as pencil skirts. Larger than normal sleeves should accessorized with the seasons embellished bags, stain bags, top handle totes and patent leather. Chain belts, statement earrings, cat-eye sunglasses, Mary Janes and ankle-strap pumps all will be seasonal fashion necessities. 


Levi's Customization Experience is Enhanced by New In Store App

Levi has released a new app at select Levi's Tailor Shops that streamlines the way consumers can personalize their Levi's jeans, jackets and tees. The app is designed to create a seamless online and in store experience that provides consumers a starting point a starting point for they done of a kind designs. 

shoppers in th designated stores can view a menu of services with prices spanning embroidery, monogramming and distressing, to paneling, repairs and more. They can also scroll through a new inspiration section that allows them to see products customized at Tailor Shops around the world.

Fendi Pop-up Cafe and Fendi PeekaBoo Bar Opens in London

Fendi has a pop up cafe opened in the famed Harrod's throughout July and August. The specially curated menu will take inspiration from the luxury fashion house. Artist Joshua Vides has transferred the space with his signature artwork creating a monochrome dining experience, complete with the signature Fendi double FF logo. Fendi branded walls, tables, menus and more will feature the luxury fashion houses iconic logo giving the assuming diner a luxurious cafe experience. Shoppers will be allowed to order a coffee with the Fendi logo, bag-shaped biscuits, or a cake featuring the iconic logo.

Joining the cafe is the Fendi Peekaboo Bar which will allow shoppers to fully customize their own mini Peekaboo exclusively at Harrods until July 28th. Customers will be able to mix and match three key elements. Including the bag-body, handle and strap to create their own style. More than twenty options of the bag body will be available. As well as twenty five versions of the handle and seven versions of the strap.

Louis Vuitton Opened a Fashion Exhibit in Los Angeles

Louis Vuitton X showcases over 160 years of history and features the collaborations with designers such as Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama and Zaha Hadid. Also featured are ready to wear pieces from Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones, Nicolas Ghesquière and Virgil Abloh. New collaborations with contemporary artists Sam Falls, Urs Fischer, Nicholas Hlobo, Alex Israel, Tschabalala Self, and Jonas Wood are also showcased. The designers were asked to use the Louis Vuitton's Capucines bag as a canvas.

Converse to Launch a a UV- Activated Sneaker Which Changes Colour in Seconds

Converse has teamed up with an LA based artist to create new artistic interpretations of the iconic Chuck 70 silhouette. The new Chuck 70 when exposed to UV light changes color from neon purple and orange. Chinatown Market's collaboration will be available August 2 and Designer Joshua Vides and his Converse collaboration will be available August 16. You can expect the entire collection to be available via the Converse and Foot Locker websites.
